West Iceland - Þórisstaðir
Add Þórisstaðir (Thorisstadir) is a large and family friendly camping area, with clean facilities. The campsite has an area for campervans and other large vehicles with facilities to empty RV holding tanks. There is access to toilets, a kitchen and a hall you can use, and the campsite has a sandbox and a soccer pitch. In one of the outbuildings you’ll find a local farmers’ market with a variety of beautiful items.
You can rent one of the outhouses, which has been renovated into a hall and can accommodate 200 people seated and has its own campsite. Also available, is the option to rent a lot for a campervan over the course of the summer, with access to electricity. We recommend enjoying a hearty soup at Súpuskálinn restaurant following a round at the footgolf course or a nice day of fishing at one of the three surrounding lakes: Eyrarvatn, Þórisstaðavatn and Geitavergsvatn.
