Ísafjörður is the largest town in the West fjords and is sometimes called the Paradise in the West. Varying from health care to cinema, all public service is available in Ísafjörður. The camp site is about 4 km from the Ísafjörður town center. Driving directions: Turn from the main road at Seljaland and follow the road into Tungudalur. All facilities at the site have been renovated recently and the site is well situated for campers within the nature. The camp site offers a playground, barbecue facilities and WIFI. The area has a lot of vegetation (compared to other places in Iceland). The waterfall Bunárfoss characterizes the valley and the river Buná winds through the camp site. Tungudalur valley offers many hiking trails and is a great outdoor recreational area. A 9 hole golf course is very close to the camping site.
