5 May - 1 October
Ólafsvík is the largest town in Snæfellsbær with about 1000 residents. The large harbor, as well as the fishing tradition has a great influence on the town image. The building called “Pakkhús” is located in the heart of Ólafsvík which is an old warehouse, built in the year 1844. The building itself is protected and it hosts the Regional Museum of Snæfellsbær, a handcraft gallery and a coffee shop. The campsite is situated in the eastern side of the town, right by the entrance. The area is small but very nice. A service house is located in the center of the area with toilets, running water and showers. Also there is a playground in the area. The area is fairly flat and is within 10 minutes walking distance from the town of Ólafsvík.
Notice that the Campingcard is not valid during the Snæfellsbær town festival weekend.
